Born Oct. 27, 1924, in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Matura) Rahl. Mrs. Antonacci was employed as payroll clerk at Sea Isles Sportswear and as secretary at Luzerne County Courthouse and the Berwick Retirement Village I office, retiring in 1987. She was a former member of Ascension Catholic Church in Mocanaqua prior to moving to Berwick, where she attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Berwick Senior Circle. She was a dedicated volunteer in the first Berwick Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and teaching English to immigrants. Ellie was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, embroidery and quilting. Preceding her in death were her husband of 46 years, Dominick Antonacci, who died July 1, 1988; her daughter, Suzanne Diltz; her son, Larry P. Antonacci; her sister, Marcella Ciglar-ski; and her companion, Glenn "Tony" Collins. Surviving are two sons: Daniel D. Antonacci and his wife, Elizabeth, of Mountain City, Tenn., and Dominick Antonacci and his wife, Sarah, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; five grand- children: Danielle Antonacci, Colleen Chaney, Lisa Potter, Kelly Diltz and Suzanne Waldon; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Rahl of Washington Crossing, Pa. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1730 Fowler Ave., Berwick, with the Very Rev. Francis J. Tamburro, V.F., officiating as celebrant. Interment will be in Ascension Church Cemetery, Mocanaqua. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice of Berwick. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., Berwick.
