Written: September 9, 1800 Recorded: September 9, 1801 DEED BOOK A page 213 THIS INDENTURE made the ninth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred Between Francis B. Holmes of the Township of Mead of the one part and Daniel Henderson of the Township of Erie both of the County Crawford. Witnesseth That Whereas the said Daniel Henderson on the 16th day of August 1796 Commenced an improvement upon a Tract of land containing four hundred Acres more or less situate on the Waters of Franch Creek and adjoining lands of Matthew Wilson on the west and William Armstrong on the Ease, said Tract being now in the occupancy of a certain William & John Johnston "Brothers" which said Improvement was continued by the said Henderson until the 12th day of February 1797 surveyed and returned unto the Surveyor Generals Office by virtue of a Warrant in the name of Francis Ingram, Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars to the said Daniel Henderson in hand paid by the said Francis B. Holmes at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Francis B. Holmes and to his Heirs Executors, Administrators & Assigns all his right title interest claim and demand which he may or can have in Law or Equity of in or to the above described Tract of Land which is situate in Fairfield Township in the County of Crawford) by virtue of his said Improvement. Together with all and singular, the Houses out houses, rights, liberties, Hereditaments and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. To Have and to Hold the said Tract of Land Hereditaments and premises hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said Francis B. Holmes, his Heirs and assigns forever. In Witness Whereof the said Daniel Henderson by these presents has hereunto set his hand & seal the day and year first above written. Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of us Dan. Henderson (SEAL) Edward Work Wm. Shannon Meadville 9th September 1801. Received of Francis B.
