B. Beatty, Recorder This Indenture made the twenty eighth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine Between Robert Kerr and Jane his wife of Crawford County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of the first part and John Quigley of the same place of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Nine hundred and sixty dollars dollars [sic] lawful money of the United States, to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained sold, assigned released and confirmed and by these presents Do grant bargain sell assign release and confirm to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that certain piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the Township of Sadsbury in the County of Crawford in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as aforesaid and bounded and described as follows viz. Beginning at a post on the original south line of the whole Tract part of the real estate of John Harper late of Vernon Township in the said County dec'd thence east by said original line fifty eight perches and five tenths to a post Thence north by part of the same tract allotted to the said party of the second part and Robert Harper, Two hundred and eighteen and seven tenths perches to a post on the north original line of the tract aforesaid, Thence west by said Original line fifty eight and five tenth perches to a post, thence south by part of the same tract allotted to Andrew Harper, two hundred and eighteen and seven tenths perches to the place of beginning containing Eighty acres of Land neat measure being the full share part and purpart of the Said Robert and Jane, in right of said Jane heir at Law of said John Harper dec'd of and in the Lands of said dec'd in the said Township of Sadsbury County aforesaid bounded west by lands of Henry Broadts heirs, South by land of A. Powers, East by lands of William Butters? heirs and south by Joseph Neal Containing 200 acres more or less which Eighty Acres of land was by an inquest of partition award by the Orphans Court of said County on the 18th day of March A.D. 1839, Allotted to said Robert & Jane one of the heirs aforesaid in her right and to be held by them and the heirs of said Jane as by said Allotment awarded and found on the 2d, 3d & 4th days of April 1839 & returned and filed among the records of said Court, reference being thereunto had will more fully appear & therein named Allotment F. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and premises thereunto belonging and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof To have and To hold all and singular the said piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted and conveyed with the appurtenances to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the use of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part and their heirs all and singular the above granted and described piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises with the appurtenances to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against them the said party of the first part and their heirs against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. Sealed and delivered in presence of G. Church Crawford County, SS. Before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said County personally appeared Robert Kerr and Jane his wife the grantors above named and acknowledged the above written Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same be recorded as such. She the said Jane being of lawful age by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture having been first made fully known to her declared that she did of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without compulsion or coercion of or from her said husband.
