Witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these present doth grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that certain piece or parcel of land being in the Town of Conneaut County of Crawford and State of Pennsylvania and bounded and described as follows to wit Beginning at the Beach Stump in the Ohio State line the south west corner, then & along the Ohio State line north ninety two perches to a Lynn Stump then by lands of Wm Hill east, ninety four perches to a Black ash, then by the same south forty four perches to a post, then by the same east twenty four perches to a post, then by the west line of the Trad, south forty eight perches to a post, then by lands of John Peabody one hundred and sixteen perches and six tenths of a perch to a beach stump place of beginning. Containing Fifty two acres of land or the same more or less with the allowance of six percent for roads etc. It being the same land that was deeded to Christopher Madison by Thomas C. Rockhill by his attorney, Arthur Cullum by deed dated Nov. 19th. A.D. 1850. Together with all and singular hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the remainders, revisions rents issues and profits thereof To Have and To Hold the premises hereby granted with the appurtenances, unto the said parties of the first part and their heirs the premises hereby granted with the appurtenances against all and any person or persons whatsoever lawfully Claiming unto claim the same or any part thereof to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigans Shall and will warrant, and forever defend by these present, In witness whereof The parties of the first part to these present have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Sealed and delivered in the presence of Christopher Dart Benjamin Madison Christopher His X Mark Polly Her X Mark Crawford County ss: } Before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County of Crawford personally came the above named Christopher Madison and Polly his wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed. She the said Polly his wife by him examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said deed written having been first made fully known to her did declare that she did of her own free willl and accord sign seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without any Coercion or Compulsion of or from her said husband, Witness the hand and seal of the Justice at Conneaut the seventeenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.
