Dorothy F. Elliott, 80, of Titusville, died Saturday morning, Feb. 3, 2001, at
her residence. Mrs. Elliott was born April 29, 1920 in Pleasantville, a daughter
of the late Arthur and Elnora Dean McIntyre. She was married to Lorman J.
Elliott on June 12, 1946 in Pleasantville. She was a graduate of the
Pleasantville High School and also a graduate of the former Bradford School of
Nursing. Mrs. Elliott had been employed for 25 years at the Titusville Hospital
as a head nurse and supervisor. She was an active member of the Titusville
Wesleyan Methodist Church. Surviving arc three children: Mrs. Larry (Rebecca)
Muir of Marion Center; Daniel Elliott and Mrs. Paul Rachael Shontz, both of
Titusville; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews including Donald
McIntyre of Springfield, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband on April 27, 1963; an adopted infant son, James Elliott; and two
brothers, Gordon and Donald McIntyre. Friends were received at the Titusville
Wesleyan Methodist Church today from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time the funeral
service was conducted with Rev. Robert Pelton, pastor, officiating. Interment
was in Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville. Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home in
Titusville was in charge of arrangements. The family asks that memorials be made
to the Women's Missionary Society of the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church,
102 E. Spruce St., Titusville, PA 16354.
