  The Edinburgh 1789 bible gives the dates of birth of the children, ten of 
  them, of William & Margaret Thompson Archibald the 8th & 10th being so faint 
  by reason of the ink fading that they are barely decipherable.
  written on the back of the last Caf [sic] of Maccabees II Chap XX with the 
  imprint
              "The end of the Apocrypha
                    Glasgow
              Printed by David Niven
                    for
              J. Duncan & J & M Robertson booksellers
                    1789"
              While facing it is "the New Testament"
                    "Edinburgh
              Printed by Mark & Chas Kerr, His Majesty's Printers
                    1789"

  3. Thomas Archibald born in ye 8th of Feby 1782
  4. Issabella [sic] Archibald born in ye 1st of Nov 1783
  5. Mary Archibald born in ye 9th of Feby 1786
  6. William Archibald born in ye 20th of Feby 1788
  7. Margret Archibald born in ye 24th of Apr 1791
  8. Daniel Archibald born in ye 26th of June 1792
  9. James Archibald born in ye 26th of Sept 1797
  10. Ruhamah Archibald born in the 20th of Dec 1799

  At the end of the Old Testament on a 2/3 blank page end of Malachi Chap IV is 
  the record of the second William Archibald's children ie being he who was born 
  as above on Feby 20, 1788 seven of them as follows:
  1. Mary Ann Archibald born May 18, 1831
  2. James Archibald born June 17, 1833
  3. Margaret Catherine Archibald born Oct 30, 1834
  4. William V. Archibald born June 27, 1835
  5. Elisabeth Archibald born Oct 22, 1838
  6. Thomas T. Archibald born Jany 14, 1843
