  At an Orphans Court began on Monday the ninth day of August in the year of
  Our Lord, one thousand  eight hundred and twenty four, and held at Carlisle
  for Cumberland County. Before the Honorable John  Reed Esquire President &
  James Armstrong & Isaiah Graham Esquires associate Judges of the same court 
  &c, assigned to -
  
  9th August A.D. 1824. Came unto Jane Scouller mother and next friend of
  Margaret, William, John,  Thomas and Jane Scouller minor children of John
  Schouller [sic] late of Mifflin Township deceased, and  preferred a petition
  to the court, therein stating that your petitioners Husband the said John
  Scouller  lately died Intestate leaving the above named children, all minors
  under the age of fourteen years,  without any Guardians appointed to take
  care of their persons and Estates, your petitioner therefore  prays your
  Honors to appoint some person or persons, Guardian or Guardians over the
  persons and  Estates of said minors. Whereupon, James Wallace being nominated
  is approved of and appointed  Guardian over the persons and Estates of the
  said Margaret, William, John, Thomas and Jane Scouller  during their minority
  or until another Guardian is appointed in this room by the Court.
