Witnesseth that the said Peter Gross and Catherine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to them in hand paid by the said John Snyder at and before the ensealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said John Snyder his heirs executors and administrators by these presents Have Granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents Do Grant bargain sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said John Snyder and to his heirs and assigns all that tract of land and plantation situate lying and being in Rye township in the County of Cumberland aforesaid bounded and described as follows towit Beginning at a black oak and proceeding thence north Sixty four degrees east two hundred and fifty two perches thence South thirty degrees east two hundred and twenty perches to a post, thence South forty three degrees west fourteen perches to a Stone thence South nineteen degrees East ten perches to a pine thence Seventy two degrees west one hundred and ninety perches to a white oak thence north forty two degrees and one half west two hundred and Sixteen perches to the place of Beginning containing Two hundred and ninety two acres and fifty four perches together with usual allowance for Roads etc it being the same tract of land and Plantation which Jacob Weisor and Catherine his wife by Indenture under their hands and Seals bearing date the second day of February Anno Dommini one thousand Seven hundred and ninety Six for the consideration therein mentioned did grant and confirm unto the said Peter Gross and to his heirs and assigns forever as in and by the said in part recited Indenture corded in the office for recording of Deeds ? in and for the COunty of Cumberland aforesaid in Deed book L Vol 1st page 598 & reference being thereunto had more fully and at large appears. Together with all and Singular other the houses outhouses buildings barns stables ways woods waters, watercourses rights liberties priviliges hereditaments and appurtenaces whatsover thereunto belonging ___ anywise appertaining subject nevertheless to the Interest, Quit rent, and consideration money due and to become due to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Revisions and Remainders, Rents, Issues and Profits thereof And also all the estates, right, title, interest, propertyclaim and demand whatsoever of them the said Peter Gross and Catherine his wife in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in , to, or out of the same. To have and To hold the said tract of land and plantation of Two hundred and ninety two acres and fifty four perches of land and allowance hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances (except as before excepted) unto the said John Snyder his Heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said John Snyder his heirs and assigns forever And the said Peter Gross for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said John Snyder his heirs and assigns by these presents that he the said Peter Gross and his heirs the said above mentioned and described tract of land and plantation of Two hundred and ninety two acres & fifty four perches & allowance hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtances unto the said John Snyder his heirs and assigns against them the said Peter Gross and Catherine his wife and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part or parcel thereof Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Seals the day and year first above mentioned. She the said Catherine being of full and legal age, by me seperate and apart from her said Husband examined the contents thereof knowing, she voluntarily became a party thereto.
