All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Barbara Rivas Scanned copy of the written deed available from contributor. ************************************************ 1810 Cumberland County Deeds Grantor Book V Vol 1 page 324 Deed George Snyder & wife to Jacob Shull This Indenture made the fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten Between George Snider of Frankford township in the County of Cumberland and State of Pennsylvania yeoman and Margaret his wife of the one part and Jacob Shull of the township of Tyrone in the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said George Snider and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum of seventy four pounds lawfull money of Pennsylvania aforesaid to them in hand well and truly paid by the said Jacob Shull at and before the ensealing and delivery here of the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and therewith being fuly satisfied Have granted bargained and sold, aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do fully freely and absolutely grant bargain and sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Jacob Shull heirs and assigns, all that the hereafter described tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the township of Tyrone in the County of Cumberland and State of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows viz Beginning at a black oak thence by land of the heirs of John Parkinson deceased South seven degrees and a half East twenty perches to a white oak thence South two degrees and a quarter East sixty nine perches to a chesnut oak thence North eighty nine degrees West fifty one perches to a stone heap, thence South six degrees West fifty nine perches to a stone heap, thence North eighty one degrees East thirty three perches and three quarters to a hickory thence South sixty one and a half degrees East eleven perches and three quarters to a hickory then South seventy five degrees East eighty five perches to a Chesnut oak, thence North two degrees West one hundred and seventy one perches to a stone heap and thence North eighty six degrees West sixty nine perches to the place of Beginning Containing seventy four acres and the usual allowance of six p.Cent for Roads & highways, being part of a larger tract of land which was granted and confirmed to the said George Snyder his heirs & assigns by deed from Benedict Long and Mary his wife bearing date 31st day of May 1808 Together with all and singular the buildings and improbements (sic) thereon made or erected profits commodities, advantages, emoluments, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said described Tract or parcel of land belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions remainders rents issues and profits thereof, also all the estate right title interest, use, possession, property claim and demand, whatsoever of them the said George Snyder & Margaret his wife in law or equity, or otherwise howsoever, of into or out of the said described tract of land containing seventy four acres belonging or in any part thereof together with all true Copies of Deeds, evidences & writings touching and concerning the hereby granted premises, or any part or parcel thereof, to be had and taken at the costs and charges of the said Jacob Shull heirs and assigns. To have and to hold the said seventy four acres of land as above described & the premises hereby granted mentioned, or intended so to be, with the appurtenances unto the aforesaid Jacob Shull heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use and behoof and to and for no other use intent meaning, or purpose whatsoever, and the said George Snyder for himself and his heirs doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Jacob Shull heirs and assigns by these presents that he the said George Snider and his heirs the above described hereby granted bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said Jacob Shull and his heirs and assigns against him the said George Snider and Margaret his wife and their heirs and every other person whomsoever legally claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from or under him or them or either of them, or by from or under any other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Testimony whereof the said George Snyder and Margaret his wife have hereunto set their hands affixed their seals the day and year, first above written Sealed & Delivered in the presence of Georg Snider Seal Saml.
