All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Barbara Rivas Scanned copy of the written deed available from contributor. ************************************************ Cumberland County Deeds Grantor Book CC Vol 1 p 714 Agreement Between John Souder and George Snider Article of Agreement made the twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven between John Souder of Frankford township, County of Cumberland & State of Pennsylvania of the one part, & George Snider Senior of the same place of the other part Witness Whereas George Snider senior and John Souder & Jacob Sholl entered in an Article of agreement on the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Nine for a certain tract of Land situate in Tyron Township, County and State aforesaid Containing one hundred and sixty one Acres for the consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty Pounds lawfull money of the state aforesaid Adjoining Land of Henry Long and Peter Fishburn in Tyron Township, County aforesaid & that John Souder could not comply with said contract and Whereas afterwards (viz) on the fourteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and ten George Snider senior of Frankford township County of Cumberland and State of Pennsylvania aforesaid and Margaret his wife on the said fourtheenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and ten Executed a Deed of conveyance to John Souder for a certain part of a larger tract of Land herein described (viz), beginning at a chesnut oak corner of Jacob Shull Land thence South Seventy five degrees East eighty tow (sic) perches and a half to a stone heap thence North seven degrees & and a half West one hundred and sixty perches to a Black oak thence North forty five degrees East thirty one perches and a half to a hickrey, thence North eighty six degrees West eight five perches to a stone heap thence by land of Jacob Shull South two degrees East one hundred and seventy one perches to the place of Beginning. Containing sevety eight Acres and the usual allowance of six six (sic) per cent for Roads and Highways being a part of a larger tract which was granted and confirmed to the said George Snider his heirs and assigns by Benedict Long and Mary his wife by Deed dated the thirty first day of May 1808 and it is a further agreed by John Souder and George Snider as hereinafter mentioned I John Souder one of the parties to these presents do hereby Renounce all my Right, title, property, claim and demand in and to the above described tract, piece or parcel of land to George Snider one of the parties herein named and quit claim forever and the said George Snider is to have and to hold said Tract of land as if it never had being conveyed to me by said Snider. Witness my hand and seale this twentieth day of May one thousand eight hundred and eleven.
