He was 73 years old. A former resident of Mechanicsburg, he was graduated from Rensseiner, Polytechnic Institute and the Columbia University kSchool of Architecture. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the New Cumberland Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie S. Black; a son, Robert F., at home; two daughters, Mrs. Bertram Lange, Chappaqua, N. Y., and Mrs. Frank Howe, Randolph, Vt.; two brothers, Dr. John T. Black, Hartford, Conn., and Joel Black, Washington, D. C.; three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Irwin, Mrs. Rachel Black and Mrs. Rae Howe, all of Huntingdon, Pa., and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Myers Funeral Home, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg. Rev. Charles Diehl and Rev. Herbert Toms will officiate. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery, Huntingdon County. Friends may call tomorrow night at the funeral home.
