Dougherty were married by the Rev. Father F. S. Welsh. The bride was attended by Miss Viola and Miss Violet Keeney as bridesmaids and the bride's brother Richard McCullough, attended the bridegroom as best man. Both bride and bridesmaids were dressed in white gowns. The church was beautifully decorated with cut flowers. Following the wedding, which only the immediate families attended, an informal reception and luncheon was tendered the newly married couple at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. McCullough, South Pitt street. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dougherty are graduates of Carlisle High School, Mrs. Dougherty having only graduated last week, while Mr. Dougherty belonged to the class of 1912. Mr. Dougherty since his graduation from High School until a few weeks ago was editor of the Carlisle Herald, only accepting a position as secretary of the Public Safety Committee of Cumberland County last month. After a short wedding trip spent in New York, Philadelphia and Boston, the bridal pair will make their home on Walnut street, Carlisle. They will be at home to their friends after July 15.
