Thompson Journals Written: August 9, 1783 Will of John Finley of Letterkenny Tp Will book D p 178 wills: to wife Mary 1/3 of rents & profits of farm & household goods to my daughter Elizabeth Armstrong 5 shillings to my son James Finley 5 shillings to my daughter Martha Jack 5 shillings to my daughter Hannah McConnochee 5 shillings to my daughter Mary Ripley to my son Joseph Finley 5 shillings to my son John Finley, all that plantation whereon I now dwell in Letterkenny Tp bounded by lands of Samuel Culbertson, James Stewart, James Finley & heirs of Wm Sharp ctg abt 400 A during his natural life. & if he dies leaving issue, I bequeath sd land to them. I give same to my son James, his heirs & assigns forever. Also gives John, my negro man & after wife's death, my wench Rachel. Gives to my two grandsons, John Jack & John McConnochee in equal shares 1/3 of my horned cattle & sheep.
