I, Michael Kitch of Allen Township, Cumberland County & State of Pennsylvania, being weak in body but of sound & perfect mind & memory, blessed be almighty God for the same do make & publish this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following (that is to say First I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Barbara the sum of one hundred & forty pounds specia to be paid in four years after my deceas but if my wife should die before that time expire then she is to have forty pounds of the above sum paid to her or her heirs & the remainder of the above mentioned sum to be duly divided amongst my six children. Likewise I give & bequeath unto my said wife the third part of all my grain and produce of my Plantation for four years after my deceas together with privileges in the house & on the primacies she now has, and the rid bedsted & beding thereon which she now uses together with the Chest she now occupys & two pewter Basons two pewter Dishes & half doz! en pewter spoons & half dozen pewter plates two Iron pots two water buckets a small washing tub one arm Chair, two small ones, a small walnut table, one Milch Cow of her own choosing, also I give & bequeath unto my son John one hundred and twenty eight pounds ten shillings specia to be paid four years after my Deceas for services he rendered me after he was of full age. Also my said son John is to have privilige to live on my plantation for four years after my deceas and farm it in the same manner he now doth & give the one third of the produce to my wife yearly. Likewise I will & bequeath unto my soninlaw Andrew Eminger the sum of one hundred thirteen pounds twelve shillings spesia to be paid five years after my Deceas. I also give & bequeath unto oldest son George the sum of one hundred & thirteen pounds twelve shillings mony afsd to be paid six years after my Deceas. I also give & bequeath unto my Daughter Cathrine the sum of one hundred & thirteen pounds twelve shillings m! ony aforsd to be paid seven years after my Deceas. I also give & bequeth unto my son Henry one hundred & thirteen pounds twelve shillings spesia to be paid him eight years after my Deceas. I also give & bequeth unto my son Martin the sum of one hundred & thirteen pounds twelve shillings mony aforsd to be paid him nine years after my Deceas. I also give & bequeth unto my Daughter Mary the sum of one hundred & thirteen pounds twelve shillings to be paid ten years after my Deceas & then Divided equly amongst my other six children. I further give & Devise to my said son John his heirs & assigns forever all that my Plantation & tract of Land lying & being in Allen Township Cumberland County & State aforsd together with the buildings & improvements thereon to have said Land at the rate of eight pounds per acre besides the allowance for roads &ca and to have possession of all the premises in four years after my Deceas and he the said John shall pay & Discharge all the Legatees their ! respective Legacies as they become Due. And Lastly as to all the rest residue & remainder of my personal Estate, goods & Chattels of what kind or nature soever, I give to my six children to be equly Divided amongst them. I do hereby appoint Adam Brand my Trustee & to him shall my Executors render all their accounts respecting my Estate and I do appoint my soninlaw Andrew Eminger and John Lamb sole Executors of this my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred. Signed, sealed published & Declared by the above named Michael Kitch to be his last Will & Testament in presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator. Michael (his mark) Kitch [Seal] Best remembered that on the 19th day of November 1804 the last Will & Testament of Michael Kitch (late of Allen Township Decd) of which the foregoing record is a true Copy was legally proven & letters testamentary with a Copy of the will annexed issued the same day to Andrew Eminger & John Lamb Executors of the said will named.
