Thompson Journals Written: January 25, 1792 Will of James Laughlin of Newton Tp will book E p 259 dated Jany 25, 1792. to my son James, my largest pot to my son Robert, my gun & wearing apparel & £60 to my son Hugh, my razor & hone & £40 to my daughter Mary, one feather bed, bedstead & bed clothes to my daughter Elizabeth £25 to be pd in 2 yrs Exrs to sell rest of property & give proceeds equally to my six children, James, Mary, John, William, Robert & Hugh. Plantation not to be sold until 2/3 of my children are willing to sell. If my two sons, James & Wm do not come home & work on the plantation, they are not to share in the profits arising therefrom.
