My first that all my just debts be discharged and paid and to my well beloved wife Kathrain Simison I give my present dwelling house to possess during her natural life likewise twenty bushels of wheat and three hundred weight of meat which she is to receive yearly from my real estate also to have a horse and a cow pastured in the summer and kept in the winter up on my plantation which is to be done by my four sons afterwards named and also to give her annualy the sum of five pounds to be paid out of the whole real estate and my four sons is to sow her an acre of flax yearly or any other grain she chooses and to put it in proper order on the value thereoff in what she may want which is also to come equally off the whole real estate and I likewise give her all my personal estate only what may be wanted to discharge my lawful debts and school my three youngest children and also the whole benefit of the orcherd while she possess the dwelling house and my lower plantation where my son John now lives I give equally between my son John Simison and my son Samuel Simison to be divided between them as near as possible fully to be engaged by them their heirs or assigns only paying the sums afterwards mentioned, and the plantation where I now live on I give to my other two sons Andrew Simison and Robert Simison to be equally divided between them and to be fully engaged by them their heirs or assigns only paying the sums afterwards named and my youngest daughter Mary Simison I give the sum of one hundred pounds fifty pounds thereoff to be paid four years after my decease the other fifty pounds to be paid eight years after my deceace and to my daughter Isabell Enslow I give the sum of one hundred pounds fifty pounds to be paid six years after my decease the other fifty pounds to be paid ten years after my decease and to my third daughter Kathrain Simison I give the sum of one hundred pounds the first fifty to be paid in nine years after my decease the second fifty to be paid in twelve years after my decease and to my daughter Rebbekah Simison I give the sum of one hundred pounds the first fifty to be paid eleven years after my decease and the other fifty thirteen years after my decease and to my grand daughter margret Enslow I give the sum of thirty pounds to be paid to her at the age of sixteen years and if she should die before that age I allow it to her sister Katrain and I allow my son John to pay two hundred and fifty pounds of the above mentioned legacys and my son Andrew to pay seventy pounds my son Robert to pay sixty pounds and my son Samuel to pay fifty pounds and the first hundred pounds that becomes due I allow my son John to pay it and the next fifty pounds that becomes due I allow my son Andrew to pay it and the next hundred and fifty pounds that becomes due I allow my two sons John and Samuel to pay it and the next fifty pounds to be paid by my son Robert and the next fifty pounds to be paid by my sons John and Samuel and the last thirty pounds to be paid by my sons Andrew and Robert and do not allow any of the above mentioned land to be sold till the legatees are all of age and then if they chuse to sell it the legatees are all to be paid as quick as so much money can be collected as will do it and allow my soninlaw William Enslow to live in the house he now lives in for the space of three years after my decease and to enjoy all the benifits and privileges that he now enjoys and I do hereby nominate and appoint my beloved friends John Anderson and William Enslow executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby dis annull disalow and rivoke all other wills or testaments by me in any ways made named or made this and only this to be my last will and testament this thirteenth day of March in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six in witness where of I have set my hand and seal the day and year above written Signed sealed pronounced and declared in presence of us Robert Hollyday William Fitzpatrick NB I also allow my four sons to keep their mother in firewood what may be sufficient and I allow her to enjoy all the benefits of the place where she now lives till the minor heirs comes of age which she is to use for their support in the best manner she can I also give her a piece of ground sufficient for a garden to possess whilst she enjoys her dwelling house Be it remembered that on the second day of August in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six the last will and testament of John Simison deceased was legally proved of which the foregoing record is a true copy and letters testamentary issued in common form to William Enslow (only) executor therin named on the said second day of August 1796 inventory and account to be exhibited into the registers office in the burough of Carlisle in the time appointed by law witness my hand William Lyon Reg This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 6.2 Kb
