PARSON ELDER'S MARRIAGE RECORD FROM 1744 TO 1791.

        At the request of a number of correspondents, at the same time in order to
furnish to our readers with everything relating to the history and
genealogy of this locality, we herewith present such marriage records of
the Rev. John Elder as have been preserved to us. The record is one of
great value, and being the earliest, is one of more than passing interest.
