Phillips, Pastor It is unfortunate that no records of the founding of Shell's Church are available. Its real name is St. Maria's Reformed Church. Major John Shell donated two acres of ground to the Lutheran and Reformed congregations in the year 1825, and for that reason it is locally known as Shell's Church. Its pastors subsequent to the year 1907 were those who served Wenrich's and Shoop's congregations. Transcriber Note: See histories for Wenrich's and Shoop's Reformed Churches for pastors.
