All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/dauphin/ _______________________________________________ 1857 Dauphin County Deed Book F Volume 3 Page 438 John Gingrich to Cyrus Gingrich This Indenture made the thirty first day of July AD 1857 Between John Gingrich of Conawego Township Dauphin County and State of Pennsylvania of the first part and Cyrus Gingrich (a Son of Said John) of Derry Township in the County aforesaid of the Second part Witnesseth that the Said party of the first part for and in consideration of the Sum of twenty one thousand five hundred and eight dollars and twenty eight cents Lawful money of the United States of America unto him well and truly paid by the Said party of the Second part at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt Where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained Sold Aliened enfeoffed Released Conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain Sell alien enfeoff Release Convey and confirm unto the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns All those two certain tracts of land Situate in the Township of Derry aforesaid bounded & described as follows The larger tract Beginning at a Stone thence by land of Jonathan Miller and the heirs of John Hershy dec'd respectively South eighty seven & a half degree East one hundred & thirty one perches & five tenths to a Stone and South eighty three degrees East forty five perches to a Stone thence by land of Henry Shafer North Seven and a half degrees East one hundred and forty three perches & five tenth to a Stone thence by land of Jacob Hollinger South Sixty three & a half West Sixty one perches & three tenths to a Stone and North nineteen degrees West one hundred & seventy three perches & five tenths to a Walnut tree thence by land of Isaac Hershey north eighty two degrees West Twenty nine perches & five tenth to a Stone thence by land of Daniel Fishburn South five degrees West two hundred & fifty Seven perches & five tenths to a Stone and South eighty five & a half degrees East twenty perches to a Stone and South five five (sic) degrees West twenty three perches to the place of beginning. Containing two hundred and fifty five acres & Sixty three perches neat measure & Patented land The other tract beginning at a White oak thence by land of Reb'n? Kegaries? South eight six degrees East fift y five perches & three tenth to Stone thence by land of Wm. Coleman North sixty six degrees East thirty one perches to a Stump and North twenty nine & a fourth degree East One hundred and twenty Seven perches to a Stone thence by land of Joseph Shafer North twwenty nine degrees West twenty three perches to Stones and North Sixty five? degrees West Six perches & five tenth to a Stone thence by land of Michael Ney South forty six degrees West thirty eight perches & five tenth to a Stone thence by land of Samuel Frantz South Sixty eight & a half degrees West twenty perches & five tenth to a Stone and South fifty one & a half degrees West twenty one perches & eight tenths to a Stone thence by land of Joseph Hershey & others South Six & a fourth degrees West forty seven perches & three tenths to a White Oak and South fifty one & a half degrees West seventy Six perches to the place of beginning Containing forty seven acres & twelve perches neat measure of Patented land (For chain of Title to the above tracts of land See old deeds & Releases) The greater part of the first herein described tract was granted unto Said John Gingrich by Christian Gingrich & wife by deed dated April 5th 1807 & another part of said tract was granted unto him by James Wilson & David Wray guardians of Rachel Bond by deed dated March 1st 1819 Another _____ tract was granted unto him by Joseph Hoffman by deed dated ___ (blank in document) The Second described tract was granted unto Said John Gingrich by James Wilson by deed dated February the 22'd 1808 Together with all and Singular the buildings improvements ways waters water courses Rights Liberties Privileges Hereditaments and Appurtenaces whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the Premises and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits there of And all the estate right title ___ to property claim and demands whatsoever of him the Said party of the first part in law equity or otherwise however of in and to the Same and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold the Said the Said herein before mentioned and described two tracts of land containing together three hundred and two acres and seventy five perches neat measure Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the Appurtenances unto the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever And the Said John Gingrich for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth by these presents convey grant and agree to and with the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns ______ the Said party of the first part this __ all and Singular the Hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended So to be with the Appurtenances unto the Said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns against him the Said party of the first part this ___ and against all and every other person or persons whomever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof Shall and will by these presents Warrant and forever defend. In witness Whereof the Said party of the first part has here into Set his hand and Seal dated the day and year first above written Sealed and delived in the John GIngrich Seal presence of us by these lines and part of a line above were _________ before Signing Jacob Gingrich Saml.
