All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/dauphin/ __________________________________________ Patent Book H 27, Page 593 Written: March 23, 1830 Recorded: March 23, 1830 The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Know ye, That in consideration of the monies paid by Henry Schreiner Esqr at the granting of the Warrants herein after mentioned and of the sum of twenty nine Dollars and forty two cents in full now paid by him into the Treasury office of this Commonwealth There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto the Said Henry Schreiner a certain tract of Land situate in Lykens township Dauphin County Beginning at a Chesnut thence by land of John Coleman, North eighty five degrees East ten & one half perches to a Spanish oak, North seventy five degrees East twenty eight perches to a Chesnut North seventy degrees East forty four perches to Stones thence by land of George Coleman North Seventy five degrees East one hundred twenty three perches to a pine, North eleven degrees west six perches to a Spanish oak, North seventy five & one half degrees Eighty perches to a Chesnut, thence by vacant land sout fifteen degrees East one hundred and ten perches to a pine thence by the top of short mountain south seventy five degrees west one hundred forty seven perches to a chesnut oak, south fifteen degrees East ten perches to a Chesnut south seventy five degrees west twenty six & five tenth perches to a Chesnut oak, north fifteen degrees west ten perches to stones, south seventy five degrees west one hundred thirty four perches to a Chest. Grub. By a Rock, and thence by vacant land North three degrees west one hundred and five perches to the place of beginning. Containing one hundred eighty five acres one hundred fifty seven perches & allowances & c. Which Said tract was surveyed in pursuance of a Warrant dated the 29th June 1825 granted to the Said Henry Schreiner Esqr. To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with the Appurtenances unto the said Henry Schreiner Esqr. & his Heirs to the use of him the Said Henry Schreiner Esqr his Heirs & assigns forever free and clear of all Restrictions and Reservations, as to Mines, Royalties, Quit-rents, or otherwise, excepting and reserving only the fifth part of all Gold and Silver Ore, for the use of this COMMONWEALTH, to be delivered at the Pit's Mouth, clear of all Charges. In Witness whereof Joshua Dickerson Secretary, of the Land-office of the said Commonwealth, hath hereto set his Hand, and the Seal of the Land-office of Pennsylvania hath been hereunto affixed, the twenty third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty and of the Commonwealth the fifty fourth.
