All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/dauphin/ __________________________________________ Written: March 20, 1827 Recorded: March 20, 1827 The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Know ye, That in consideration of the Sum of One hundred Seventy Four dollars twenty Six Cents in full now paid by Jacob Shreiner into the Treasury Office of this Commonwealth there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto the said Jacob Shreiner a Certain tract of land situate in Middle Paxton township Dauphin County. Beginning at Stone thence by blue mountain South eighty four degrees and a half west forty perches and five tenths to Stone thence by part of a larger tract North twenty three degrees west one hundred seventy four perches to a Spanish Oak thence by land of George Straw North four and a half degrees west one hundred & forty perches to a Hickory thence by land of George Cooper South eighty four degrees East ninety two perches to a Chesnut thence by the residue of said larger tract South four degrees and a half East two hundred and eighty eight perches to the place of beginning Containing one hundred and thirty five Acres, one hundred and five perches and allowances & which Said tract being part of a larger tract was Surveyed in Pursuance of an application No. 2668 entered the 6th 1767 Alexander Reynolds and Whereas Christian Gleim High Sheriff of Dauphin County Seized and Sold Said part as the property of John Yetter and by Deed dated the 21st November 1822 Conveyed the Same to Said Jacob Shreiner to whom a Warrant of Acceptance issued this day. To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land with Appurtenances unto the said Jacob Shreiner and his Heirs to the use of him the Said Jacob Shreiner his Heirs and Assigns forever free and clear of all Restrictions and Reservations, as to Mines, Royalties, Quit-rents, or otherwise, excepting and reserving only the fifth part of all Gold and Silver Ore, for the use of this COMMONWEALTH, to be delivered at the Pit's Mouth, clear of all Charges. In Witness whereof Joshua Dickerson Secretary, of the Land-office of the said Commonwealth, hath set his Hand, and the Seal of the Land- office of Pennsylvania hath been hereunto affixed, the twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven and of the Commonwealth the fifty first.
