All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/dauphin/ _________________________________________ Death's Doings Michael Burgert, for some years known as the oldest man in Dauphin county, died at his home in Enhaut on Tuesday morning after illness of more than a year, at the age of 95 years, one month, and 22 days. Mr. Burgert was born in Schuylkil county and lived there until he was twenty years old. When he moved to near Millersburg, Dauphin county and started to the learn the blacksmith business. He removed to Steelton when quite a young man working at the trade until...(cut off) He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Samuel M. Brightbill and Mrs. Ellen Duncan with who he lived, nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Ellen Duncan on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock followed by services in the Church of God at Enhaut. Rev. Mr. Enterline, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. J. A. Keiper of the United Brethern Church, conducted the services. The funeral was one of the largest held in this sectioni for years.
