Clayton, 26 South Nineteenth street, who was drowned last Sunday while swimming at Turkely Point on the Elk River, Maryland, was discovered yesterday afternoon after searching parties had been dragging the river and patrolling the shores since the accident occurred. C. Floyd Hopkins, of this city, a brother-in-law of Mr. Clayton, who was in Maryland aiding in the search, had signboards placed along the river for miles telling people to be on the lookout for the body. By this means it was found at the mouth of the Sassafras River, a point almost ten miles below the scene of drowning. Mr. Hopkins is bringing the body to this city today and the funeral services will be held at the Nineteenth street home, at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with the Rev. H. W. A. Hanson, pastor of the Messiah Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Harrisburg Cemetery. The Evening News, Harrisburg, Penna., Friday, July 19, 1918
