All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/dauphin/ _________________________________________ CHARLES DUNLAP Charles Dunlap, 1627 North Fourth street, died yesterday afternoon in the Harrisburg Hospital as the result of internal injuries received in a motorcycle accident Saturday. Dunlap was riding with his wife when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a telegraph pole. They were both thrown to the street by the force of the collision and were picked up by passing autoists who rushed them to the hospital. There it was found that Mrs. Dunlap was in a serious condition suffering from four fractures, two in each leg and internal injuries. Mr. Dunlap was 41 years old and a member of the L. O. O. M., Good Will Fire Company, Red Men and the Eagles. Funeral services will be held at the residence, 1627 North Fourth street, at 1.30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with the Rev. Edwin S. Rupp, pastor of Otterbein United Brethren Church, officiating. He is survived by his wife, Florence; his mother, Mrs. Ellen Dunlap; one brother, Tolbert O., and sisters, Mrs. H. O. Warfel and Mrs. C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend without further notice. Bodies can be viewed Thursday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock at Hoover & Son Chapel, 1413 North Second street. The Evening News, Harrisburg, Penna., Wednesday, August 14, 1918 Double Funeral for Man and Wife, Killed Double funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ross Dunlap, of 1627 North Fourth street, who lost their lives in a motorcycle accident last Saturday afternoon, were held at the residence this afternoon, the Rev. E. E. Rupp, pastor of Otterbein United Brethren Church, officiating. Many relatives and friends attended the double ceremony and the Loyal Order of Moose and Good Will Fire Company were represented at the funeral.
