All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/dauphin/ _________________________________________ WILLIAM HALFPENNY William Halfpenny, aged 63 years, 36 North Nineteenth street, one of the oldest conductors on the Philadelphia and Erie Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at his home, from an attack of uremic poisoning. The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the home and burial will be made in the Paxtang Cemetery. Mr. Halfpenny was a member of Fidelity Division, No. 17, Order of Railway Conductors; Pennsylvania Railroad Relief Association; Bayard Lodge, Knights of Pythias, and of St. Andrew's Protestant Episcopal Church. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Amy K. Halfpenny; two sons, Harry B and William C., and two grandchildren, Miss Ethel Boyd Halfpenny and William Halfpenny, Jr., all of this city; one brother, Harry C. Halfpenny, Los Angeles, Cal., and two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Ruhl, of Boise City, Idaho, and Mrs. C. D. Kennedy, of Tamaqua. DEATHS HALFPENNY - On Monday, August 5, 1918, William Halfpenny, aged 63 years, died suddenly at his home, 26 North Nineteenth street. Funeral services Thursday afternoon at 2.30 from his late residence, the Rev. Post and the Rev. L. F. Baker, officiating, interment at Paxtang Cemetery.
