Parker, 75 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. L. Yoder, 621 Harris street, this morning. The funeral will be held at the home of the daughter on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in the East Harrisburg Cemetery. The Evening News, Harrisburg, Penna., Monday, June 24, 1918 C. M. Parker, Civil War Hero, Dies in 75th Year CLOYD M. PARKER [photo] The death of Cloyd M. Parker, a veteran of the Civil War, and a former business man and farmer of Mifflin, occurred Monday at his home, 621 Harris street, in his 77th year. He had been in ill health for some time and critically ill for two weeks prior to his death. Mr. Parker saw service through the entire war, participating in many battles. He was discharged at Camp Curtin, May 20, 1863, from Co. I, 126th P. V. I., and immediately reenlisted and was mustered out June 25, 1865, at Newburn, N. C., at the close of the war. He was born at Mifflin and was well known in Juniata County where he resided for many years prior to coming here. The funeral services were held this afternoon and burial was made at Penbrook. The surviving children are: Harry C. Parker, Mrs. J. L. Yoder and Mrs. Harry W. Miller, all of this city. Many beautiful floral tributes were sent by friends and relatives.
