It now becomes our mournful duty to chronicle the death of John Rhoads Esq., one of our oldest and most respectable citizens. He departed this life last evening, after a lingering illness. The deceased had been engaged in mercantile pursuits in this town for many years and accumulated a large fortune. He was a man of strict honesty and unswerving integrity, generally respected and esteemed by our citizens. His funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon at three o'clock. DEATH NOTICE Died - On Tuesday evening, the 12th inst., at five minutes past nine o'clock, John Rhoads, Merchant, in the 84th year of his age. The funeral will take place from his late residence on Thursday afternoon at three o'clock.
