Died, on the 6th inst., at the family residence in Ottawa, Ill., after a very brief
illness, Mrs. Hannah Strawn, wife of Jeremiah Strawn... Mrs. Strawn was born near
Harrisburg, Pa., January 11th, 1799, of Lutheran parentage. She leaves surviving
her, a large family of brothers and sisters of marked piety, integrity and generally
excellence of character, one sister Mary Magdalen Tedrow who has reached the ripe
age of 88 years, and a brother, John Boucher, younger than herself. She was married
to Jeremiah Strawn, who survives her, on the 23d day of May, 1815, in Somerset
county, Pennsylvania, to which county her parents had sometime previously removed...
