Beniah Thompson, the well-known veteran baggagemaster of the Middle division, died of paralysis at the Harrisburg hospital about 4:30 o'clock on Monday afternoon. He was stricken two or three weeks ago. Mr. Thompson was born in Montgomery county about fifty years ago and entered the service of the Pennsylvania railroad, September 1, 1869. No man on the Middle division was better known or more popular. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his residence, 1920 Wood avenue, Harrisburg.
