Van Dyke, U. S. dist. att. of Pa., and Elizabeth Marion Van Dyke, died June 23, 1918, in Hbg. Private funeral service will be held on Tues., June 25, in Philadelphia. T. K. Van Dyke, Local Attorney, Dies at 51 Thomas Kittera Van Dyke, 51 years old, of 228 Boas street, this city, died from an attack of the heart yesterday morning in the Harrisburg Hospital, after about five years of suffering from heart trouble. Friday afternoon Mr. Van Dyke was ordered to his bed by Dr. Jesse Lenker because the former complained of pains near the heart. Failing to comply with Dr. Lenker's orders, Mr. Van Dyke was taken to the Harrisburg Hospital on Saturday. Early yesterday morning he was greatly improved but a little later he suddenly succumbed. Mr. Van Dyke was a native of Philadelphia and came to Harrisburg about thirty years ago. He was an attorney-at-law and a prominent Democrat in this locality. He was the organizer of the Harrisburg Democratic Association. For many years he had been an active member of the Market Square Presbyterian Church. He was a great admirer and personal friend of William Jennings Bryan, whom he several times entertained here. Surviving Mr. Van Dyke is a sister, Mrs. Humes Hall, at whose home he resided.
