He was employed as a laborer and fell from a scaffold on the roof of the new Keystone Motor Car Company Building at Fourth and Kelker streets. He sustained a fractured vertebrae and lacerations about the head and body. He is survived by Mrs. W. A. Gernert, his sister. No funeral arrangements have been announced. Funeral services Tuesday morning at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Seventeenth and State streets, Rev. John Henry Miller, officiating. Remains will be taken to Myerstown Tuesday at 10.30 a.m., where further services will be held in Evangelical Friends Lutheran Church. Rev. A. E. Youse, officiating. Burial at Mount Hoke Cemetery.
