of a son, John Steven Kaspar, on July 19.  At baptismal services held 
Sunday, July 28, the Rev. Reinhold Schmidt, pastor of the St. Michael's 
Church, Harrisburg, baptized the infant son in the presence of his 
parents and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Moder as sponsors.  The sponsors 
presented their god child with a baby bond.  The guests present at the 
services included Mr. and Mrs. Steven Moder, Anthony Wise and Mrs. 
Fanny Harlacher. [Note: Both Kaspary and Kaspar are as is.]

MAJOR AND MRS. GARRISON ANNOUNCE BIRTH OF DAUGHTER

  Major and Mrs. William H. Garrison Jr., announced today the birth of 
a daughter, Ethel Marion, July 30.  Mrs. Garrison, who is at present 
residing at their home in the officers' quarters at the Aviation Depot, 
Middletown, was formerly Miss Myrtle Mackin, of Laredo, Texas.  Major 
Garrison, who has been the commanding officer of the depot since its 
erection, was lately detailed to Washington, D. C.  He is expected to 
return here on Friday and will remain here until Monday when he will 
leave for a Southern camp.
