The Evening News, Harrisburg, Penna., Friday August 30, 1918 ACTIVITIES IN THE REALM OF SOCIETY AND PERSONAL NOTES OF INTEREST The wedding at high noon today in the Zion Lutheran Church, when Miss Ethel K. Baldwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Baldwin, 1917 Chestnut street, and Raymond C. Baker, of this city, were united in marriage, was an event of the utmost simplicity with just the members of the immediate families in attendance, the many invitations issued for the affair having been recalled owing to the recent death of Mr. Baker's brother. The Rev. W. S. Dunlop, pastor of Market Street Baptist Church, performed the ceremony, during which the organist, Mr. Bretz, played the nuptial music. The bride wore an attractive gown of dark blue with a hat of silk and velvet in the same tone, while orchids and valley lilies formed a graceful corsage bouquet. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Baker will leave for New York, Philadelphia and the Jersey coast for a honeymoon. After October 1 they will be at home at 1917 Chestnut street. Mr. Baker expects to be called to service at an early date. Miss Baldwin was the guest of honor at the Country Club Thursday evening when she was entertained charmingly by Miss Caroline Patschke and on the afternoon of the same day she was presented with a handsome mahogany clock by the Department of Public Instruction at the Capitol, where she has served for seven years as stenographer.
