Burns and Einar R. Barford were married in Cathedral rectory, in Philadelphia, by the Rev. B. A. McGinley. It was while Mr. Barford was in Harrisburg on a story for the Philadelphia Press that he met Miss Burns, who later, becoming interested in newspaper work, was made a member of the North American staff. The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, C. Angus Burns, Jr., of Washington, wore a pink gown with leghorn hat to match. She carried an arm bouquet of roses. Miss Mahoney, of Philadelphia, was her only attendant. Dean Hoffman, of this city, editor of the Patriot and The Evening News, was best man. Following a luncheon after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Barford left for Cape May. Upon their return they will reside at 5114 Carlisle street, Philadelphia. Miss Burns, who was the daughter of the late C. Angus Burns, resided in Harrisburg until a few years ago and attended Central High School. The Evening News, Harrisburg, Penna., Tuesday, July 23, 1918
