Richard Mallalieu, of that place, officiating. The ceremony was witnessed by the bride's mother and a number of their Williamsport friends. An interesting feature of the wedding was the fact that on March 22, 1872, the Rev. Mr. Mallalieu married the grandparents of the bride, Captain and Mrs. Matthias Niece, at Mt. Holly Springs. Captain Niece was a prominent officer in the Civil War. The Evening News, Harrisburg, Penna., Monday, August 12, 1918
