ACTIVITIES IN THE REALM OF SOCIETY AND PERSONAL NOTES OF INTEREST

  A quiet wedding was solemnized last Saturday afternoon, August 3, 
when Miss Ruth Mae Long, 1426 North Sixth street, and Forrest S. Major, 
of Bound Brook, N. J., were united in marriage.  The ceremony was 
performed by the Rev. Dr. Henry W. A. Hanson at the parsonage of 
Messiah Lutheran Church.  Both young people are well known in the West 
End.  Miss Long has been connected with Democratic Headquarters and Mr. 
Major has just returned from France.
