The ceremony was performed at the Presbyterian Church parsonage at Lytle, Ga., on Tuesday, June 11, at 9 o'clock in the morning. Mr. Miles enlisted in the army last June, and is at present time stationed at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. The bride will reside in Georgia for the present. Beard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Beard, Middletown, and Fletcher W. Miles, was a surprise to many friends of the young couple. The ceremony took place at Chattanooga, Tenn., June 11, in the parsonage of the Presbyterian Church with the pastor of the church officiating. The bride, who was unattended, wore a tailored suit of dark blue with a small hat to harmonize. Mr. Miles, prior to his enlistment in the Ambulance Corps, lived in Elizabethtown. Mrs. Miles was a graduate of the Middletown High School, and is well known in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Miles will reside for the present at Lytle, Georgia.
