ACTIVITIES IN THE REALM OF SOCIETY AND PERSONAL NOTES OF INTEREST

  Miss Esther Wetzler and Clyde D. Shaffer both from Thompsontown, Pa., 
were quietly married at the parsonage of the Derry Street Church of the 
United Brethren in Christ, by the Rev. J. A. Lyter, on Wednesday 
afternoon at 1 o'clock.  The bride was daintily gowned in white crepe 
de chene and was unattended.  The bridegroom is well known in this 
city, having been employed until recently by the Harrisburg Light and 
Power Company.  They will reside at Thompsontown.
