She was the second wife of Daniel Ritzman, November 14, 1803 - November 30, 1873. Will filed May 9, 1904; J. H. Stroup, Deputy Register; Willbook Q, page 94. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Last Will of Elizabeth Ritzman In the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in the year 1903 I, Elizabeth S. Ritzman of the Borough of Gratz, County of Dauphin, and State of Pennsylvania, being in good health, and of a sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make my last will and testament, hereby making null and void, and revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made And as to my worldly estate and property, Real and personal, or mixed of Which I shall die seized and possessed, at the time of my death, I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to Wit. 1st My will is that all my just debts, and funeral expenses shall by my Executor hereinafter named be paid out of my Estate as soon after my death as shall be found convenient. I also direct that my body be decently buried in the Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery of Simeons Church of Gratz, Dauphin County Pa, according to the rites and ceremonies of the Reformed Church, and that any funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my Estate and Situation in life; my tomb stone shall be to correspond with those of my deceased husband. 2nd I give and bequeath unto the eight children or heirs of the late Adam Ritzman, My beloved husbands brother, Namely, Mrs. Catharine Collier, Mrs. Magdalena Enterline, Mrs. Susan Yeager, Mrs. Lavina Radel, Mr. Andrew Ritzman, Mrs. Elizabeth Koppenheffer, Mrs. Hannah Moyer, and Mrs. Mary Mathis or their legal heirs and representatives, the Mansion house and the two lots of ground belonging thereto, Situate in the Borough of Gratz, Dauphin County, PA, with all the appurtenances thereto, to be shared equally among themselves, (the said eight children) or their legal heirs and representatives, and a Release from the said heirs, or their legal heirs and representatives entitled to the benefits and advantages of the foregoing bequest shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executor. 3rd I give and bequeath a certain tract of farmland situate in the Borough of Gratz Dauphin Co. Pa, and containing about fifteen acres more or less, to My brothers and sisters, those entitled to this bequest are Catharine Moyer, Nellie Glenn, John Stine, Abbey De Frehn, Jonas Stine, Josiah P. Stine share and share alike, and David Dietz son in law of Daniel P. Stine, or his heirs shall have and half share with the brothers and sisters of said tract of land, the share of Catharine Moyer shall be divided only among her seven children as follows, Elizabeth Schibe, Aaron Moyer, Eva E. Deibler, Isaac S. Moyer, Jonathan Moyer, Catharine Hepner and Philip Moyer, or their heirs and legal representatives. Henry P. Moyer shall have only a Judgment note now held by me against him. 4th I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Franklin P. Stine, son of Josiah P. Stine one share of my stock in the First National Bank of Millersburg, Pa. 5th I give and bequeath unto Emma Schaffer and her daughter Stella the sum of One hundred and twenty five dollars, to be divided between them equally. 6th I give and bequeath unto Mrs. Annie [illegible] and her daughter Elma, the sum of One hundred and twenty five dollars to be divided between them equally, a release from their mothers in each of these two items shall be sufficient satisfaction to the Executor. 7th I give and bequeath to Ursinnus College located at Collegeville, Montgomery Co. Pa the sum of five hundred ($500) dollars; for a partial endowment of scholarship in said College, to be paid one year after my death. 8th I also give and bequeath whatever other property I may have or hold at the time of my death, whether Real or Personal unto My brothers and Sisters whose names I have already mentioned, their heirs and representatives, the property Real or personal, to be sold by my Executor, and the proceeds thereof to be divided equally among My brothers and sisters as aforesaid. 9th The collateral Inheritance tax shall be paid by my Executor, which said amount shall be deducted in Proportion to their bequests, from all the heirs heretofore Mentioned, and in case the Mansion house and lot is not sold directly then Their share of the Inheritance tax shall be their proportionate share of two thousand dollars, at which rate I value said property, and they shall pay the same to the said Executor. 10th And lastly, I do nominate and appoint my friend Franklin P. Stine to be my executor of this my last will and testament. In Witness Whereof I the said Elizabeth S. Ritzman have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this 6th day of Aug A.
