Codicil to Will of Elizabeth Schreiner

I Elizabeth Schreiner do hereby make and publish this codicil, to be
added, to my last will and testament in manner following, to wit, I do
declare that my will is that my house & lot in the town of Gratz, in
Dauphin County, shall be sold within one year after my decease at
public sale in said town to the highest and best bidder and that my
executors named in my said will shall pay the proceeds thereof in
manner following to wit, one half thereof to my son Henry, who is one
of my executors, in consideration of his attention and service in
superintending the execution of said house, one eighth thereof in
equal proportion to the children of my deceased son John, one eighth
to my daughter Elizabeth, one eighth to my son Daniel and one eighth
to my daughter Rebecca, and in case eighter of my children's death
should happen before mine then I do hereby declare it is my will that
their share as above mentioned shall be paid to his or her lawful
heirs. And lastly it is my will and desire that this my present
codicil be annexed to and made a part of my last will and testament
aforesaid. Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the
fifth day of February one thousand eight hundred and twenty three, in
the town of Gratz.

Signed Sealed and declared by the said testator as a Codicil to her
last will and testament in the presence of us Conrad Frey, Charles
Richards, sworn Dec 15th 1823.

Additional Comments:
The will of Elizabeth Schreiner was filed in Philadelphia in Will Book
8, Page 98. The will was written 15 June, 1819 and Proved 8 Nov. 1823.
