First: It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expences be duly paid as soon as conveniently can be after my decease out of money on hand, rents interest or income of whatsoever nature it may be. Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catharine Louisa all the residue and remainder of all my Estate real & from and of what kind or nature soever it may be during her natural life for her use and maintenances and that of my two unmarried daughters Anna Maria & Susanna So long as they remain Single & reside with her. Item: I authorize my Executors or the Survivors of them to Sell at public or private Sale at any time after my decease my small Small lot in the Town of Gratz on which there is a Shop erected. *********************to Sell personal property at public or private Sale that my said wife may not have occasion for and to divide between those of my eight heirs hereinafter mentioned who have received the Smallest proportion of their inheritance any monies accumulated on hand and not needed by my Said wife at any time they may see proper or put it at interest with good security and immediately after the death of my said wife my estate to be appraised according to law. My two daughters Anna Maria & Susanna to have the Mansion House place at the price at which it is valued by the appraisers if they see proper to take it at the same. If not taken by them my son Hilary B. to have it at the same price if he choses and if not taken by either Anna Maria and Susanna or Hilary B. then to be sold as soon as may be together with all my real & personal estate remaining at public or private sale and for that purpose I do hereby authorize and empower my Executors or the survivors of them to sign seal execute acknowledge all such Deed or Deeds of conveyance as may be requisite or necessary for the granting and assuring of any part or the whole of my said real estate herein authorized to be sold to the purchaser or purchasers thereof in fee simple. The monies arising therefrom to be disposed of as follows, to wit: Item: To my Grand Daughter Annie Leyburn, I give and bequeath the sum of Two hundred Dollars to be paid to her in Cash if she shall arrived at the age of Twenty-one years or is married, otherwise to be invested for her in good real estate Security or Interest until either of the before mentioned events shall have happened & then paid to her. The residue of Said Monies to be divided into eight equal Shares I give and bequeath unto eight of my children as follows. To my eldst child Anna Maria one Share to my Second Son Francis one Share to my third Son Hilary Baker one Share to my youngest Son Jacob on Share my oldest Son Henry having received his full proportion no Share. To my Second Daughter Elizabeth widow of the late Doctor Oneill one Share to my third Daughter Catharine Wife of Alexander W. Leyburn Esq. one Share and to my Sixth & Youngest Daughter Susanna one Share or to their respective Heirs. Some of the above named eight of my children having received various Sums on account of their Inheritance which will be found charged to them in my Books. These Sum are to be equalized & the Same amount to be paid on each of the shares of those who have as yet received nothing the remainder equally divided into eight shares as before mentioned & paid as above directed So that each of the above eight Shares Shall be alike. No Interest to be charged to those of my children on the Sums they have already received. And lastly I nominate Constitute & appoint my Said wife Catharine Louisa my Daughter Anna Maria & my Son Hilary B. to be the Executors of this my will hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore made & declaring this & no other to be my last will & testament.
