After they were freed by law, this ancient couple lived in an old log cabin, on the left hand side of the road runing from the Old Queen's road, NW from near Jacob ahewes' residence, below Leiperville, then called Ridley, to Crosby's Mills." The died at an extremely old age. After their death, the Judge built a frame addition to the old cabin and leased the house and about an acre of ground to a worthy old workman in his employ, who had been his school-fellow in youth, John Terrance, for a term of his natural life, for the nominal rent of a penny a year. He lived to enjoy the generosity of his friend, the Judge, for many years.
