A question mark (?) was inserted wherever a character could not be distinguished. No other notes have been added. Formatting was preserved as much as possible. Little if any punctuation was used. Ree?? could be Reeds or Reads - the author changed handwriting style as he got near the bottom of the page to perhaps economize on the space. The } are mine and signify one continuous vertical squiggle. The numbers 174, 13 are underlined, as are the number of deaths and above the lone number 2. "Philada Bap" is taken to mean "Philadelphia Baptist". ---- Page starts here --- Sept 10 th 1862 A special church meeting was held Wednesday evening to hear an expression of the exercises of our Brother George Brensinger in reference to a course of preparation for the Gospel Minsitry and upon hearing his experience and exercises it was resolved unanimously that the church approves and recommends Bro.
