Crozer Church Clerk Sept 7 "93 The Upland Baptist Church, Upland Pa. Dear Brethren:- The generous and hearty call that you have given me has afforded much pleasure. Its unaninimity is especially appreciated. This assures sympathy in daily experience, cooperation in christian work. During my recent visit to Upland I was most happily impressed by the zeal and enterprise of the church, by the opportunities of the filed for efficient and extensive labor. I have carefully and prayerfully considered the subject and am persuaded that I should go to Upland. I propose therefore to resign my position here upon the coming Sunday. After the resignation will have been recieved by the Union Church, I shall be glad to accept your call. If it meets with your approval I shall enter upon this work with you the second Sunday of next October. Let me ask thatI be remembered by you in all your prayers that the Lord give to me wisdom and strength to qualify for the work. Thus may we render mutual service ere we begin together our formal labor. Very Sincerely Yours F. C. Woods
