All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ********************************************************* Ann Garrett’s advice to her Children. “O my Children how have I interceded with the Almighty on your account that you might be favoured with an ability to worship the great and most Holy Being in truth with upright hearts and with sincerity of Soul having his honour continually in your view, that so you might bring up your offsprings in the fear of the Lord and teach them to refrain from evils ways for for it surely has been my great care for you to endeavour to instruct you in righteousness as far as I have been capable of, giving you all the opportunity of attending religious Meeting, that you might be met with by his Soul searching power and O how have I requested of him that he would be please to stretch forth the Shepherds Crook of his pure love and touch your minds therewith that so you might live in his fear, and be enabled to worship him in deed and in truth with hearts contrited before him for surely he hath been a precious Instructor to me and great cause have I to bless his high and holy name who is worthy to be reared honoured and obeyed therefore am I thus led to persuade you to come up to the help of the Lord against the grand adversary of mankind who is seeking to draw our minds from the way that leads to the kingdom of heaven but if ye indeed seek his help he will be found of you for his promises are yea and Amen forever my soul has cause to speak well of his great name and to praise his greatness for he is everlastingly worthy.
