WALTER DOWNS, of 222 West Union street, and Mr. and Mrs. CHARLES M. COOPER of 304 South Darlington street, are today celebrating in a quiet way their forty-eight wedding anniversaries. The couples were married in a double ceremony in West Chester, by Rev. J. H. Chambers who was then pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church here.
