June 15, 1864 DELAWARE COUNTY AMERICAN ANOTHER VICTIM - To the long and rapidly increasing list of those linked to our community by ties of blood and bonds of affection, who for us have laid down their lives for their country, we painfully add that of William P. << Fairlamb>> , son of the late Thomas V. << Fairlamb>> formerly of our county, who was instantly killed at the first battle of Cold Harbor, which occurred during the past week. He was a member of Co. I., 17th Regt. Pa. Cavalry, aged about 23 years, and been in the service upwards of two years. He was a faithful and gallant soldier, highly estimable in all the relations of life, and his untimely death which involves the loss of a most devoted soldier of the Republic, has carried the most poignant sorrow to the hearts of his many relations and friends by whom he was so ardently and so justly beloved.
