Anderson, aged 30 years, colored, of this place, died late yesterday following a long sickness. He was unmarried and was a barber in this place for several years, having been employed in the shop of his father, the late James Anderson, and other places. The body will be interred at Chestnut Grove Cemetery Annex, following services at a local chapel. ANDERSON- On the 5th inst., Oscar J., son of Louisa G. and the late James Anderson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the chapel of J.B. Smith & Son, on Sunday, the 8th inst., at 1:30 o’clock. Interment at Chestnut Grove Annex. Daily Local News February 9, 1916 Yesterday afternoon, in the chapel of the undertaking establishment of J.B. Smith & Son, funeral services were conducted over the remains of J. Oscar Anderson, by Rev. A. E. Henry, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church. Additional Comments: The obit says yesterday, making day of death the 6th. The funeral notice says the 5th.
