Irwin CHEYNEY, Media, on Tuesday. Mr. BAKER lived in Chester County practically all his life and served as Sheriff from 1883 to 1886. He was a life-long Republican and was always active in political circles. He was a veteran of the Civil War and belonged to the famous Bucktails. Mr. BAKER was a member of General Henry R. Guss Post A Civil War Veterans, and always took a great interest in the welfare of that organization. His wife-died about five years ago. Two daughters survived him.
