Mr. Fairlamb, since he removed to this city from Wilmington, several months ago, has been living with Mrs. Wright, on Broad street, near Madison, and on Saturday he moved his family into one of the new houses built by Joseph Hunter on Eighth between Madison and Upland streets. Mrs. Fairlamb was in excellent health and assisted in moving. Sunday morning she was taken violently sick with pneumonia and lingered until this morning. Everything that medical skill could suggest was done, but to no avail. The house was damp, and this, with the exertion incident to moving, it is thought brought on the malady. She was a young woman, having been married but about four years, and leaves one child about three years old. Her death was sudden and sad, and her ereaved husband has the sympathy of the entire community. ----------------------------------- Chester Times (04 Jan 1882) DIED.
